So the OB's happy with the draw?

We have Villareal, Dinamo Zagreb and PAOK Saloniki. Should be able to proceed if we play our best. But every game is different off course...

Overall people are satisfied with the draw. There are some who would have liked a bigger opponent from pot one (Such as Liverpool), but it's a group with some good teams, where we are still not without our chances. I'm planning on a trip to Stuttgart myself, and I hope to see many OB-fans travelling around Europe this fall. Most of all people are just happy we didn't draw any eastern european teams, which would have made away games very difficult (and expensive) to reach.

Brugge should have a chance of making an impact in your group, PAOK and Zagreb are teams I think you could get some points against. Villareal: not so much. But then again, stranger things have happenedBig Smile. Best of luck to you.

Well, for that matter Brugge-fans think alike. They would have died to draw Liverpool :-) We played 2 European finals and both against Liverpool, both lost but revenge (and off course the atmosphere of English football) are big reasons to beat them :D

And avoiding Eastern-Europeans teams is also very important here. Strong teams and a long trip. So we won't complain about that. I surely will visit the 3 home games, and normally also the 1/16th, 1/8th and 1/4 final GeekedBig SmileParty!!!

Let's just hope for the best, we should be able to finish 2nd. Last year we held Partizan (beat Anderlecht for Champions League lol) and Toulouse from France behind us. But each game shouldbe played. Good luck guys and we'll meet in the final (but then I have to prefer Bruges Sad)

Club won last weekend 1-2 at Westerlo. Deserved victory for us, but somehow they make it difficult for themself by not scoring more goals.
The last day of transfer we bought Junior Diaz from Wisla Krakow for the left back, as our Michael Klukowski left us for Ankaragücü. Mohamed Dahmane left also, he went to Bursaspor, but he was no regular player. Most people think there should have been another striker, but we didn't get that. I'm very curious for the season now...

I saw OB's second half on Monday, didn't play that bad? And Priske was runnng around there too Big Smile

Yes. It was apparently a quite decent game.

We brought Jonas Troest (CD) back at the last minute, he signed with Koyaspor at the end of last season, but they failed to pay his wages, so he returned to OB. And it was a good thing too. We really needed a backup defender.

How did the training session go with J. Enakarhire go?  Seems to me he could be a good catch now that he's fit again.

Will he be playing for you this season?

Hmm from what I've heard he did okay. But still it wasn't enough for us to sign him, so he won't be playing for us this season.

Thank you. As you might or might not know, we just fired our coach, Lars Olsen, and the director of sports affairs, Kim Brink. A lot of people, me included, have been looking forward to this day in a long time. The team has been taken over, temporarily, by the youth coach, Uffe Pedersen. We are quite looking forward to seeing who the new coach will be.

Anyway, the Getafe game is a game that nobody will expect us to win, so the team can play freely, and a defeat where we have at least gone down fighting will be more than acceptable.

    Really Surprise
You see how few time I'm having at the moment... I don't even know the result of the last game (if they played this weekend).

Getafe is though indeed, but every game should be played :-)

Club Brugge played 2-2 last Sunday at home to current leaders RC Genk, who lost their first points this season. They led 0-1 early in the game, their top player was sent off, Club was the better team but their goalie was playing a suberp match. Second half Vargas makes the eaqualiser and 10 minutes towards the end Van der Heyden scores 2-1. Game won you think, but just a few seconds later Genk scores 2-2. Club keeps on struggling in Belgian competition :(
But tonight PAOK Saloniki has to be defeaten...

We lost 0-1 at home to FC Nordsjælland in a dismal performance. The straw that broke the camels back, you might say.

It was a quite shocking move. Nobody saw it coming, but it was about time. Lars Olsen was to old fashioned, and not very good tactically. He was also horrible in getting the players set up mentally for games.

It's a new start, and a lot of us OB-fans are quite exited about it.

Good luck against PAOK. It sounds like you could need a win.

Wow damn... Maybe for the best they lost? Or they might keep struggling with the old staff...
Well keep me informed about the going on and about, as I might have few time to check the website... Now I have to find a way to hear about OB's result tonight...

Well, disappointed in the result. Only 1-1, against this team we always should have won. We score 1-0 around the 60th minute, but 10 minutes before the end of the game they score from a corner. And in the final second we can be glad Stijnen saves a almost made goal or we had no points. Worse is that Zagreb beat Villareal and we visit Villareal next match, gonna be though...

Friend of mine kept me informed about OB. Was very happy to hear they were leading, but very sad hearing they couldn't get a hold to 1 or 3 points :( How was the game?

And by the way, those Greek supporters are really crazy (and the one beautiful Greece lady on our bus from the centre of Bruges to the stadium was very yummie yummie)...

We saw the highlights from your game. Tough luck. Our game was all right. We were better than expected, and actually the better team in the first half. We played with a flat 4-4-2, instead of the antiquated 4-1-2-1-2 "diamond" we have been using in the last season and a half. We had some good player performances, and a few young players actually playing (which some of us have been hoping for, for a looong time).

In the second half they went up a gear, and we had to make changes in the defence, because of an injury to Thomas Helveg, who up untill then had played a really good game. We ended the game with R. Gislason, who is a wing(!), as the right back.

They were better in the second half, but they didn't get a lot of chances in open play. Not an undeserved win, but not as overpowering as we had feared. We should have a chance of getting some points in this competition.
